Yard Worker

Yard StaffSherman Lumber is a commercial lumberyard serving internal and external building contractors. Our Yard staff and Drivers are critical in receiving, handling, and preparing materials for building construction. This role is important to keep our day to day operations on track.Key Accountabilities:Safely operate and maintain Company property and equipmentAccurately pull, stage and prepare ordersStock and maintain hardware, materialsCommunicate with team and leadershipYard Staff have a high regard for safety, service, and accuracy. Successful candidates enjoy the physical demands of the position, including repeated heavy lifting, are highly self-motivated, detailed, and take initiative to get the job done right in a fast paced environment while managing multiple tasks at once.Requirements:Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background checkAbility to pass our skills assessment measuring attention to detail, basic skills, and ability to multi-taskForklift driving experience preferred, willing to train the right individualDriver's LicensePreferred:Class A or B CDL, or ability to obtain and maintain a CDLNo more than 3 traffic violations in the past 5 years for insurance purposesSherman Lumber, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug-Free Workplace.
