Software Configuration Manager

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or four additional years of experience in lieu of the degree.
• We need four or more years of overall professional IT experience.
• We require at least two years of software configuration management experience.
• We need experience with configuration management databases (CMDB) and related tools.
• We require familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN, as well as change management processes.
• We require ITIL Foundation certification.
• We prefer experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• We prefer experience using scripting or automation tools.
• We prefer relevant configuration management certifications such as CMII, and security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
• We prefer experience supporting a DoD Combatant Command or a related component.
• We require an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

• We support the establishment and upkeep of consistent, reliable system configurations.
• We apply configuration management principles and continue building skills in configuration identification, control, and auditing.
• We help develop and implement configuration management plans and procedures while maintaining alignment with organizational standards.
• We take part in configuration audits, review configuration data, and help identify opportunities for improvement.
• We work with technical teams and stakeholders, communicate configuration details clearly, and support the integration of configuration management into the development lifecycle.
• We support CMDBs, version control systems, and change management activities.
