Staff AccountantTarget Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 + Discretionary Bonus Location: Davenport, FL (100% Onsite)Why This Opportunity Stands Out:Play a key role in general ledger accounting and the monthly close processGain specialized accounting experience within the homebuilding and construction industryOwn critical accounting functions including sales journals, account reconciliations, and account analysisPartner with accounting, land, and operations teams on day-to-day business activitiesWork with an established Accounting & Finance team and experienced leadershipEarn a competitive base salary plus discretionary bonus opportunityKey Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and support the monthly financial closeRecord sales journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger activityComplete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding itemsReview invoices, expense activity, and company credit card transactions for accuracy and proper codingSupport management reporting and assist with accounting projects as neededQualifications for the Staff Accountant:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3-5 years of progressive accounting experienceStrong experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month-end closeHomebuilding, construction, or related industry experience strongly preferred
