Sher Edling seeks an associate attorney with at least 2 years of litigation or clerkship experience preferred to join our mission-driven team dedicated to protecting people and the planet. The associate will work on high-impact environmental litigation representing primarily states, tribes, and local governments.

Our associates take a leadership role in cases, including investigating and analyzing legal claims, engaging in all facets of discovery, interviewing fact witnesses and scientific experts, drafting motions, briefs, and other pleadings, appearing and arguing in state and federal court, and preparing for and trying cases. Demonstrated analytical and writing skills are required.

We are looking for a colleague who will thrive in the accelerated environment of complex litigation and discovery. The position demands strong communication skills, a growth mindset, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Annual salary range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000, depending on experience. This position may be a hybrid position out of our San Francisco office or fully remote for attorneys located outside of the Bay Area.
