The Velvet Swan is seeking an outgoing, polished, and dependable Cocktail Server to join our team.

We are an upscale cocktail and spirits lounge focused on handcrafted cocktails, premium spirits, exceptional hospitality, and creating an elevated but welcoming experience for our guests. We are looking for someone who understands that great service goes beyond simply taking an order — it is about making guests feel welcomed, remembered, and genuinely taken care of.

What You'll Do

As a Cocktail Server, you will be responsible for providing attentive and engaging table service throughout the lounge while working closely with our bartenders and management team.

Responsibilities include:

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service

Take accurate cocktail, beer, wine, and spirit orders

Deliver beverages promptly and professionally

Learn our signature cocktail menu, ingredients, spirits, and flavor profiles

Make knowledgeable recommendations based on guest preferences

Check on guests regularly without being intrusive

Maintain clean and organized tables and lounge areas

Clear glassware and reset seating areas throughout the shift

Accurately enter orders and process guest payments through the POS system

Verify identification and follow responsible alcohol-service practices

Communicate effectively with bartenders and other team members during busy service

Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and side-work responsibilities

Help maintain the polished atmosphere and presentation expected at The Velvet Swan

Who We're Looking For

Able to multitask in a fast-paced nightlife environment

Comfortable recommending and upselling premium cocktails and spirits

Able to remain composed and professional during high-volume periods

A strong team player who communicates well with bartenders and management

Willing to learn our cocktail menu and expand their knowledge of spirits

Available to work evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts

Experience

Previous cocktail serving, bartending, restaurant, hospitality, or nightlife experience is preferred.

However, personality, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to connect with guests are extremely important to us. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and genuine interest in hospitality and cocktails.
