Staff Accountant

Cianbro is seeking a staff accountant that has the experience and knowledge to become an immediate contributor to our growing construction company. The successful candidate will demonstrate detailed accounting knowledge and reporting abilities to be able to quickly integrate into our team. They will also show a willingness to follow directions and work as part of the highly collaborative environment that is already in place. Candidates must also have the ability to work individually and have a willingness to expand and learn in our fast-paced industry. Proving the ability to expand and grow will lead to advancement for the right candidate. The wage range for this position is $900.00 to $1,400.00 per week. Compensation will be determined based on knowledge and experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Helps to maintain and reconcile Intercompany accounts.
• Completes various compliance reporting for banking partners.
• Prepares various internal financial reporting.
• Tracks, maintains, and reconciles our balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy of financial reports and data.
• Analyzes information to update and develop reports for the management team's decision-making.
• Helps develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist in the preparation for the company's annual external audit.
• Helps to create and maintain various account analysis for financial footnotes.
• Assist with system integrations and improvements in workflows in areas related to accounting and finance.
• Works with team to account for fixed asset tracking and compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Willingness to assist and understand our payroll, AP, AR, and treasury functions.
• Ad-Hoc analysis and reporting as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance, Associates degree with additional experience, or extensive experience also considered.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as staff accountant preferred and financial statement creation.
• Construction accounting experience highly desired.
• Advanced in skills in Excel required.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion a plus.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Highly motivated and organized individual, managing multiple tasks required.
• Team-oriented and effective establishing working relationships.
