Quality InspectorInspects parts according to quality and safety standards. Ensures goods and products comply with company standards as well as Federal and State law. Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.Starting Wage: $21.00We offer a 2nd shift differential of $2.00 per hour and 3rd shift differential of $3.00 per hourEssential Job FunctionsDeveloping and maintaining company inspection reportsCommunicating with certified people of other departmentsResponsible for measurement equipment maintenance and cleanliness.Perform and completes tests of new parts, and report findings to engineering and managers.Perform all of the above operations while maintaining an orderly 5S environmentPrevent unsatisfactory products from reaching the customer by examining materials for flaws and deviations from original product specificationsInspect, accept, or reject products for durability, function, customer satisfaction, and overall quality.Job RequirementsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredSolid understanding of test equipment1-3 years of inspection and/or production experienceStrong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportionsAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionallySpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information undefinedPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; hazards common to industrial settings; chemicals, vibration, and loud noises.Safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves and bump caps for this position must be worn on the production floor. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.Jobs on the production floor require a minimum 40-hour workweek.
