We are seeking an experienced Professional Cabinet Finisher who takes pride in producing flawless, furniture-quality finishes on premium custom cabinetry and architectural millwork. This is not a production-line painting position. We are looking for a craftsman who understands wood, coatings, color, sheen, and quality, and who wants to be part of a team building exceptional custom cabinetry. Position SummaryThe Cabinet Finisher is responsible for preparing, priming, sanding, staining, spraying, inspecting, and repairing premium custom cabinetry and millwork using professional finishing systems. This position plays a critical role in maintaining Rojahn's reputation for craftsmanship and quality. The ideal candidate has experience with high-end residential cabinetry and understands that consistency, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship are essential. Primary ResponsibilitiesSurface Preparation
- Inspect cabinet components before finishing
- Sand hardwoods, MDF, veneers, and composite materials
- Raise grain when required
- Repair minor imperfections
- Fill nail holes and defects
- Prepare surfaces for stain or paint
- Mask components when necessary
