ABOUT

The Georgia Swarm Professional Lacrosse Organization is part of the National Lacrosse League. Our front office is based in Duluth, GA, and our games take place at the Gas South Arena.

EXPECTATIONS:

Please note that this is an unpaid internship which may be leveraged as appropriate for post-secondary course credit. The Digital Media Intern position for the Georgia Swarm will perform important digital marketing-related tasks within the Swarm's Marketing and Communications Department and assist the Digital Media Manager. This role plays a critical part in enhancing content not only on conventional digital platforms but also on emerging social media channels, aiming to enhance engagement and rapidly expand our viewership.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Update georgiaswarm.com and specific landing pages to align with current marketing messaging.
• Learn media platforms like Attentive, WSC, Slate, and more!
• Create creative copy for marketing materials such as digital advertisements (PPC and Paid Social), email campaigns, GIPHY etc.
• Responsible for capturing and helping run social media accounts: Swarm Box League & Georgia Swarm Tik Tok
• Assist in planning content at events and game days
• Live cut highlights during the Georgia Swarm Season
• Copywriting and news article writing for the Georgia Swarm Website.
• Learn and create a calendar with the Georgia Swarm Staff for the Dash Auction.
• Assist the Graphic Designer with photos
• Work with the Digital Media Manager to create and plan content for the Swarm Box League social pages.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Pursuing or have a degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related fields
• Must be able to come into the office hours in Duluth, GA at least once a week. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
• Ability to commit to work in the 2025-2026 season that includes all nine (9) Georgia Swarm home games plus a possible playoff game
• Commit to community events for media coverage if assigned
• Comfortable with working with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
• General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content
• Experience writing short and long-form articles, advertorial content, and/or marketing content.
• Knowledge of social media platforms
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to collaborate in a creative environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail
• NO PRIOR LACROSSE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
