Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto is a 339-bed acute care hospital located in Southaven, Mississippi. Their highly skilled and experienced doctors, nurses, and staff provide a wide range of health care services, including ancillary, cancer, emergency and surgical, heart, neurology, women's and children's services, and more. Baptist-DeSoto was the first hospital in DeSoto County to offer open-heart surgery. Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto was designated as a Top Performing Hospital by U.S. News & World Report. Case Assignments: Cardiovascular (CV), Neurology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, General, Urology, Pulmonary (Bronchoscopy), Gastroenterology (EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP), Interventional Radiology and Well Peds

Shifts: Full time-8, 10 and 12 rotating shifts throughout the year with call requirements Monday-Friday. Weekend calls are voluntary.

Team Highlights: Highly autonomous environment. CRNAs are encouraged to practice at the top of their license. The anesthesia care team approach provides a collaborative work environment where CRNAs, MDs, and the surgical team share strong, respectful relationships—led by inspiring and supportive leadership. Currently our care team model includes approximately 3 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs, who have created a cohesive group.

Requirements: Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed. Requirements include a current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
