Assistant Prosecutor

Summary The City of Lancaster Law Director & City Prosecutor’s Office is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Prosecutor. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: appearing before the Fairfield County Municipal Court to prosecute traffic and criminal cases, appearing before the Fifth District Court of Appeals to brief and argue appeals, providing timely and competent legal advice to law enforcement, and performing legal research as assigned by supervising attorneys. Salary Depending on qualifications $78,343.20/annually – $88,581.60/annually with annual step increases until maxed out and annual COLA adjustments thereafter. Qualifications Applicant must be a licensed Ohio attorney in good standing OR awaiting July bar exam results. Criminal law and courtroom experience are preferred but not required. Knowledge and Skills Applicant should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Westlaw, and Zoom.
