Regional Sales Director, Immunology - West Region

Merck seeks an experienced Regional Sales Director to lead the Immunology sales organization across the western United States. This second-line leadership role oversees District Managers and field representatives, with accountability for team performance, business strategy, customer relationships, and regional P&L management.
Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment, development, and retention of regional sales team to execute customer engagement strategies
- Own customer portfolio and ensure consistent, accurate communications across all team interactions
- Build relationships with senior healthcare leaders and industry thought leaders
- Align account plans with payer and managed-care strategies to optimize access and reimbursement
- Deliver regional business results and manage P&L targets with compliance oversight
Requirements
- BA/BS degree with 10+ years pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or managed care experience
- Minimum 3 years people management experience leading sales teams
- 3+ years building and managing healthcare customer relationships
- Regional residency with ability to travel up to 50% including overnight trips
- Demonstrated expertise in regional healthcare dynamics and omnichannel strategy implementation
- Track record developing high-performing teams with strategic agility and business acumen
- Valid driver's license
