Registration Clerk

The Registration Clerk is responsible for assisting voters with the voter registration process at designated election sites. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately process voter information while maintaining confidentiality and complying with all federal, state, and local election laws and procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Greet voters and provide courteous, professional customer service.
• Assist individuals with completing voter registration applications and updating voter information.
• Verify required documentation and ensure all registration forms are complete and accurate.
• Answer questions regarding voter registration requirements, polling locations, and election procedures.
• Process voter registration forms in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and organize registration documents.
• Protect confidential voter information and maintain data integrity.
• Resolve routine voter concerns or refer complex issues to the Site Manager or Supervisor.
• Assist with setting up and closing the registration area each day.
• Ensure the registration area remains clean, organized, and fully stocked with required materials.
• Perform other election-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be a US Citizen
• Previous customer service, clerical, administrative, or election experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required during election periods.
