About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Pediatric ICU RN – Texas**Start Date:** September 21, 2026 **Location:** San Antonio, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day or Night Shift available; every other weekend requirement; nurse-to-patient ratios of 2:1, 1:1 for higher acuity, or 3:1 for step-down acuity**Highlights:** - 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit caring for critically ill patients across all body systems including respiratory, neuro, GI, GU, plastics, burns, DKA, cardiac history, ortho, and ENT- Exposure to advanced equipment and procedures including ventilators, drips, chest tubes, central lines, syringe pumps, tracheostomies, and gastrostomy tubes- EMR system: Meditech- Collaborative team environment with charge nurse, unit coordinator, and dedicated nursing staff on each shift- Opportunity to float to specialty units including NICU and other pediatric areas for diverse clinical experience- Comprehensive unit manual and orientation provided upon arrival**Requirements:** - Active RN license in Texas or compact state eligibility- PALS certification required- ICU-level patient care experience required- Intubated and ventilator patient experience required- ECMO experience (patient care) preferred- CRRT experience preferred- Flexible, collaborative personality with strong communication skills and positive attitude**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team providing life-saving care to the most critically ill pediatric patients across a wide range of conditions and acuities.
