Pay: $15.00 per hour Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented proofreader to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing artwork, designs, and production files to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with customer specifications before they are released to production.

The proofreader plays a critical role in maintaining the high quality standards expected by HIT Promotional Products by identifying errors, verifying artwork details, and collaborating with artists and vendors to ensure every order is production-ready.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Review customer artwork, vendor artwork, purchase orders, and special instructions for accuracy and completeness.
• Compare artwork proofs against final production files and production travelers to identify discrepancies or errors.
• Verify artwork details, colors, layouts, text, and customer specifications before production.
• Document and communicate any errors or required corrections to artists or vendors.
• Ensure all orders meet company quality standards before being released to production.
• Utilize internal art application systems to review and process orders.
• Communicate effectively with customer service representatives and other departments regarding artwork concerns.
• Maintain productivity goals, including reviewing and completing approximately 100 orders per day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and basic computer applications.
• Previous proofreading, quality control, or artwork review experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of silk screening, pad printing, heat transfer, and four-color process printing is a plus.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite programs preferred.

Physical Requirements
