Key Responsibilities Deliver a positive customer experience through friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service. Build and apply product knowledge to provide accurate recommendations for camping and climbing gear. Assist customers in locating merchandise and selecting the right products for their needs and skill level. Answer questions and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner. Ensure accurate communication of pricing, promotions, and product information. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor while supporting merchandising and stocking efforts. Stay informed on new products, industry trends, and outdoor gear innovations. Work collaboratively with team members to support store goals and overall customer satisfaction. Qualifications Actively participates in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, or rock climbing. Strong interest in outdoor recreation and willingness to learn product knowledge. Comfortable engaging customers and initiating conversations. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to provide accurate information on products, pricing, and promotions. Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment. Committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs. Helpful Hands‑on experience with camping gear (tents, sleeping systems, stoves, etc.). Experience with backpacking, hiking, or other outdoor activities. Familiarity with premium outdoor brands and gear systems. Previous experience in specialty outdoor or sporting goods retail. Employee‑only discounts on top outdoor and climbing gear.
