Senior Accountant

Vaco is partnering with a growing Phoenix-based organization to identify a Senior Accountant who is ready to take on a highly impactful role within the business.

Senior Accountant
$90,000-$110,000 base salary (depending on experience)
Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid - 4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Responsibilities include:

• Lead monthly close activities and maintain accurate accounting records across multiple business entities
• Prepare, analyze, and review reconciliations for cash, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Administer fixed asset accounting, tracking, and reporting functions
• Maintain lease accounting schedules and ensure compliance with ASC 842 standards
• Record payroll-related accounting activity, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconcile balances between entities
• Support management reporting, financial analysis, and ad hoc projects
• Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and strengthen internal accounting procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience (Required)
• Fixed asset accounting experience (Required)
• Lease accounting regulations, including ASC 842 experience (Required)
• Multi-entity accounting experience (Required)
