VP, Equity & Options Settlements – St. Petersburg, FL

We are partnering with a leading financial services firm seeking a VP-level professional with 6+ years of experience in Equity & Options Settlements and Securities Operations.

This is a fully on-site position in St. Petersburg, FL for someone who brings strong knowledge of the settlement lifecycle, clearing operations, reconciliations, customer transfers, and regulatory controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end settlement process for equities and options
• Process ACAT and non-ACAT customer transfers, including free-of-payment deliveries and related settlement activity
• Manage DTCC settlement activity, ensuring accurate and timely processing
• Perform daily cash and securities reconciliations, research breaks, and resolve exceptions
• Support self-clearing operations and customer account processing
• Monitor settlement activity, fails, and operational exceptions through resolution
• Maintain strong operational controls and ensure adherence to FINRA, SEC, and internal compliance requirements
• Partner with internal teams, clearing organizations, custodians, and counterparties to resolve issues and improve workflows
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and increased operational efficiency
• Leverage technology and operational systems to improve accuracy, controls, and scalability

Ideal Background:

• 6+ years of experience in Equity/Options Settlements, Securities Operations, or related functions
• Strong understanding of DTCC, ACATs, non-ACAT transfers, free deliveries, and securities processing
• Experience supporting self-clearing environments and customer account operations
• Strong reconciliation and exception-management experience
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
• Active FINRA licenses required
• Technology and automation experience is highly desirable
• Proven ability to identify operational risks and drive meaningful process improvements
