DSV – Customer Service Representative (CSR)

• Location: Carteret, NJ
• Shift: 2nd Shift
• Pay Rate: $22.50/hour

Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing excellent customer support while handling shipping, receiving, and order processing operations within the warehouse environment. This role focuses on building strong relationships with clients by ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

The CSR will work closely with warehouse operations and other departments to maintain service standards, resolve issues, and support daily logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Order Processing

• Process and enter customer orders accurately into the system
• Run and print shipments from the WMS (Warehouse Management System)
• Generate shipping paperwork and customer work orders
• Review orders for special requests or instructions
• Expedite urgent orders when needed
• Trace and track orders for customers
• Notify customers regarding shipment activity or delays

Inventory & Reporting

• Run stock reports to verify product availability
• Assist with inventory-related inquiries
• Ensure order accuracy before processing

Communication & Coordination

• Follow up with warehouse and operations teams to ensure customer service expectations are met
• Work with multiple departments to resolve shipping or receiving issues
• Maintain professional communication with customers and internal teams

Billing & Returns

• Verify customer accounts for proper invoicing
• Handle returned merchandise efficiently
• Ensure proper credits are issued to customers when applicable

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience with data entry and order processing
• Warehouse or logistics experience preferred
• Experience using WMS systems is a plus
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organization
