Veterinary Assistant/Technician

Responsibilities, but are not limited to: * Assist doctors and other vet assistants with appointments and procedures * Administer necessary medication * Collect lab samples such as fecal, urine and ear cytology's * Restrain animals in a safe, efficient and compassionate way * Document patient's information in Avimark * Obtain accurate vital signs and weight * Be able to communicate with clients in a professional and compassionate manner Qualifications: * Experience working in a veterinary office a plus * Must possess strong communication skills and have good judgement, a sense of urgency * Must have good computer skills * Must be able to physically and mentally be able to work in a fast and challenging environment * Must be dependable, demonstrate strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn * Need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs Benefits: * Flexible schedule * Competitive pay * Discounted veterinary care * Educational assistance * Medical Health Insurance * 401K benefits If this sounds like a family you want to be a part of, we would love to meet you!
