Physical Therapist

Job Summary The position of Physical Therapist is under the general direction of the Facility Manager. The main focus is on providing superior outpatient rehabilitation services through a collaborative care model with physicians to optimize performance and enhance the quality of function for patients. Responsibilities Exceptional patient care Interprets physician orders, performs initial evaluations, and establishes treatment plans and functional goals Responsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals during the episode of care as necessary Written documentation of patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehab Determine appropriate discharge timeline and follow‑up Supervision of Rehabilitation Technicians and administrative staff as needed Compliance with daily paperwork: documentation of all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (initial evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP) Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices Maintains active state license, earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities Develops positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJI Takes an active role in the patient medical team: office visits with physicians, contact with case managers, etc. Participates in programs sponsored by IBJI: mentoring, clinical educator, special interest group, community outreach Requirements Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program New‑Graduate Physical Therapists are eligible to apply Licensed Physical Therapist or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds Demonstrates proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, and pushing Ability to stand and sit for sequences of more than 30 minutes Ability to work on a computer for lengthy periods during the day Benefits and Compensation Highly competitive compensation structure: strong base salary, therapist‑friendly quarterly bonuses up to $11,500 annually, sign‑on bonus, profit sharing $2,000 per year toward continuing education ABPTRFE Orthopedic Residency Program (full salary while working a reduced schedule) Two- to three‑month mentoring period to ramp up to full caseload Critical Reasoning Development Seminar for new graduates Leadership Development Series for those seeking management or leadership positions Collaborative opportunities with physicians, surgical observations at IBJI ASCs, monthly grand rounds, shared EMR access to operative notes, imaging reports, and communication Health, life, dental, and vision insurance; generous paid‑time‑off accrual; 401(k) with company match; profit sharing; employee assistance program; disability coverage Salary $84,000 – $110,000 Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC is an equal‑opportunity employer.
