Execute opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines. Handle guest concerns and guide them toward a positive resolution. Handle cash and POS drawer setup, perform comps and voids, and manage deposits during the shift. Act as a leader among team members, motivating others to follow procedures, work with a sense of urgency, and ensure a positive guest experience. De‑escalate issues between team members, ensuring everyone feels heard. Support management with the inventory process. Keep food safety a high priority during the shift by performing line checks, checking shelf storage and expiration dates for prepped food, and keeping the restaurant clean and in order. Manage the daily prep list and sign off on all prepped items to ensure adherence to specifications and flavor profiles. Serve as a role model for maintaining a safe environment, enforcing use of cut gloves, keeping floors clean and dry, and removing obstacles that may prevent a safe work or dining space. Communicate and deliver a friendly, welcoming, exceptional guest experience. Embrace feedback, be eager to learn, and take accountability for actions. Proficient in a fast‑paced environment and manage time effectively.
