Welcome to Paradise Quick Stop. We are a family oriented, well-established organization seeking an experienced Cashier to join our rapidly growing team!
Convenience Store Cashiers are experts in creating positive guest experiences through service, providing insights, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store.
Full and part time openings available. Must be able to work various shifts.
Key responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a smile as they enter the location.
- Collect and process cash, credit and digital payments using the store point of sale system. Assist guests with questions or price discrepancies.
- Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor, connecting with each and every customer.
- Use suggestive selling techniques to boost store sales and increase guest satisfaction.
- Ensure accurate transactions and accurate sales at the end of the shift.
- Follow all state and federal regulations for gas, alcohol, and tobacco sales.
- Assist customers in locating products, resolving concerns or providing other information.
- Act with integrity and honesty, promoting the culture and values of our company.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including cash handling and safety policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Promote teamwork and ethics.
- Maintain a clean and polished appearance and appropriate uniform attire.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers or scanners.
- Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds.
- Able to learn company's products, services, and policies quickly.
- Honest, respectful, trustworthy and loyal.
- Able to lift 25 pounds and traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
- Prolonged periods of standing required.
