Your impact We’re seeking Mechanical Engineering Interns to join our Energy & Power team across the country. You’ll have the opportunity to use your theoretical knowledge and apply it to solving today’s challenges. During your internship, you will be mentored by Professional Engineers while you engage with our clients, evaluate their energy needs, and develop concept-level plans and solutions. We offer and deliver a true "end-to-end" life-cycle service from exploration, development, operation, and repowering/retirement. Your primary responsibilities will focus on supporting engineering calculations, construction drawings, and specifications for energy and power projects. Specific tasks will include piping and equipment sizing, stress analysis, flow modeling, energy analysis, and life cycle cost evaluations, and other detailed engineering calculations. You’ll also take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team. Prior design or consulting internships are highly regarded. This position could be located in the following locations Austin, TX Cary, NC Fort Worth, TX Denver, CO This position could be considered for the following alternate locations Boise, ID Chicago, IL Portland, OR Here’s what you’ll need Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program for Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an ABET- accredited program Ideally, you’ll also have Familiarity or experience with 3D modeling software such as Revit, AutoCAD, CADWorx and NavisWorks hydraulic modeling software such as Pipe-Flo or AFT Fathom systems modeling software such as Thermoflow or Aspen/Hysys Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
