Interventional Radiologist Needed | Flexible Monthly Coverage

Protean Med is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist for an acute care hospital opportunity in Boise, Idaho. Join an established IR team with experienced physicians and APP support.

Location: Boise, Idaho

Position Type: Locum Tenens

Start Date: January 2027

Availability: Minimum 7 consecutive days per month (MondaySunday)

Preferred: 14 consecutive days per month

Schedule

MondayFriday: 8:00 AM5:00 PM, plus night call from 5:00 PM8:00 AM
SaturdaySunday: 24-hour call, 8:00 AM8:00 AM
Night call-back: Approximately 01 hour per shift
Weekend call-back: Approximately 23 hours per shift

Procedures & Responsibilities

Trauma embolization and pulmonary thrombectomy
Gastric tube and biliary/cholecystostomy tube placement
Nephrostomy and ureteral stenting
Dialysis graft/fistula stenting
Body arteriography and IVC filter placement/removal
Additional procedures may include TIPS, ablations, vascular stenting, thrombectomy, embolization, and biopsies, depending on training and facility needs

Requirements

Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
Active Idaho medical license or active IMLC with LOQ
Minimum 7 consecutive days of availability per month
Clean background strongly preferred
Proof of COVID vaccination required at presentation
