Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Experience: Minimum 24 months of Emergency Room experience License: Active Iowa license or compact/Multistate license required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - NIH Stroke Scale certification - Trauma Nursing Core Competency (TNCC) Must-Have: - Experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin. - Experience with all types of critical care/emergency medicine drips. - Telemetry measurement and reading experience. Description: The registered nurse will provide emergency care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for quickly assessing patient needs. The nurse will perform necessary interventions and treatments. The nurse will be expected to maintain high standards of patient care. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 3:1. The nurse will participate in the holiday rotation. Contractors are required to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays. Orientation is available prior to the start of the contract. Candidates must submit work history detailing Emergency Room experience. A professional reference from a charge nurse or supervisor within the last 24 months is preferred. Candidates must meet all certification requirements before starting.
