Partner Engineer

Act as the bridge between sales and partners' engineering teams for technical handoff Write production code alongside partner engineering teams to accelerate integrations, debug issues, and demonstrate best practices Architect robust, scalable integration patterns on Check's platform Provide implementation plans and estimate time to market Provide feedback to product and engineering teams based on partner experiences Assist partners with architecting, troubleshooting, and optimizing integrations Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor after integration Own post-sales technical strategy and roadmap alignment Maintain relationships with technical stakeholders from engineers to C-suite executives Provide strategic and technical guidance to drive adoption and growth Advocate for partner needs internally and influence product development Build partner-facing features and documentation Escalate complex technical issues beyond standard support channels Lead company-wide efforts to identify, prototype, and ship AI-powered capabilities Evaluate AI frameworks, models, and tooling and own high-priority initiatives Collaborate on Check's AI roadmap and champion responsible AI adoption Help partners use AI to improve payroll and workforce management workflows Requirements Demonstrated experience building with AI, including LLMs, AI agents, or AI-powered tooling Strong communication skills and executive presence Problem-solving mindset with an entrepreneurial approach Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Intellectual curiosity and adaptability to evolving technologies and business needs 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including writing and shipping production code Experience in customer-facing or solutions engineering roles at a FinTech or SaaS platform preferred Hands-on experience with APIs and technical infrastructure Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs into web applications required Ability to work at the intersection of engineering and product, including deep codebase work and communicating tradeoffs to non-technical executives Willingness and ability to attend the annual 3-day company offsite and travel occasionally to support partners Eligibility to work in the United States Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in building AI-powered solutions, including LLMs and AI agents, while effectively bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to architect scalable integrations and provide strategic guidance to enhance partner relationships and drive product development.
