Occupational Therapist West Jefferson Medical Center - Acute Rehab Unit Job Type: PRN As an Occupational Therapist at West Jefferson Medical Center, you will provide exceptional care and support patients in their recovery, working as part of a dedicated team. How You'll Contribute Assesses patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills, designs appropriate plan of care, and implements treatment using appropriate modalities. Documents subjective and objective findings of patient progress. Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed and seeks consultation as necessary. Educates patients and families/caregivers about deficits. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting, including adaptive equipment and support programs. Supervises and delegates care provided by certified OT assistants and therapy technicians according to licensing laws and regulations. Qualifications And Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy. State Licensure for Occupational Therapy. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
