Associate Attorney

Guardian Law is a growing Utah law firm serving individuals, families, and businesses in estate planning, business law, asset protection, litigation, and regulatory compliance. We are seeking an Associate Attorney to work directly with Managing Attorney Gregory Christiansen in a collaborative practice that offers substantial responsibility, client interaction, and exposure to a broad range of legal matters. This position is well suited for an attorney who enjoys practicing across multiple disciplines and is looking to develop a well-rounded legal career rather than focusing on a single area of law. Practice Areas: The successful candidate will assist with matters including: Business Entity Formation and Governance Asset Protection Planning Contract Drafting and Business Transactions FTC Advertising and Marketing Compliance Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Drafting estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and deeds. Advising clients regarding estate planning and business succession matters. Forming and maintaining business entities, including LLCs, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofit organizations. Preparing operating agreements, bylaws, shareholder agreements, and related governance documents. Conducting legal research and preparing memoranda. Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents. Assisting with hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial preparation. Reviewing advertising, marketing materials, and business practices for FTC compliance. Drafting contracts and transactional documents. Maintaining client relationships through responsive, professional legal representation. Maintaining client relationships through responsive, professional legal representation. Qualifications: Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Utah, or eligibility for prompt admission. Two or more years of practice experience preferred, although outstanding newer attorneys are encouraged to apply. Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills. Excellent organizational and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. Interest in developing experience across several areas of practice.
