JOB SUMMARY Work in kitchen with the responsibility of preparing and producing menu items to recipe standards in a quick and efficient manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare food daily as outlined. Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards. Assist with set-up, service and clean-up of food production. Ensure proper sanitation and storage of kitchen equipment. Ensure compliance with state local and regulatory agencies as it relates to food service. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reading and math skill for receipts and measurements. Ability to perform duties within hot to normal to cold temperature ranges. Ability to operate kitchen equipment including slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle and flat top. Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, move or push goods on a food warmer weighing a maximum 300 lbs. at a continuous schedule. Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, standing and walking significant distances. Actively participates with staff to cook, prepare, dish-up and assemble all outlets food. Fully observe all safety procedures as well as clean as you go techniques. Knowledge of M.S.D.S Knowledge of various knife cuts and different garnishes. Perform any other duties as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience necessary. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS Office/Casino environment. Must be able to tolerate casino related environmental factors including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise levels and stress related to serving customers in a high pressure fast paced environment. Constant wrist motion, sits, hear and eye/hand coordination; Frequently speak, read, write, stand, walk, bend and stoop. Occasionally lift, carry, push and pull. Must be able to continuously maneuver around property and office, often standing for long hours. The team member frequently is also required to stand, walk and reach with arms and hands, bend and have the ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
