Quality Tech II

Overview: As a Quality Tech. II, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. You will play a vital role in conducting quality inspections, performing tests, and analyzing data to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.Key Responsibilities:Quality Inspections (With Minimal Supervision):Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of in-process components and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.Utilize measuring instruments, gauges, and equipment to perform inspections and verify product conformity.Functional testing of handheld extinguishers to UL requirements.Identify and document any non-conformities, defects, or discrepancies in products and materials.Documentation and Reporting (With Minimal Supervision):Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspection results, test data, and quality documentation.Communicate quality issues and discrepancies to appropriate stakeholders and assist in implementing corrective actions.Process Improvement (With Minimal Supervision):Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and quality enhancement, and contribute to the implementation of improvement projects.Compliance Management (With Minimal Supervision):Ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality management system requirements.Assist in addressing non-conformities and implementing corrective and preventive actions.High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.Previous experience in a quality assurance or inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements and quality assurance principles preferred.Proficiency in conducting quality inspections, tests, and measurements using various tools and equipment preferred.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and documentation.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Self-starter with experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.Proficiency in MS Office applications and basic computer skills.Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.Buckeye Fire Equipment provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training. #J-18808-Ljbffr Buckeye Fire & Equipment Co
