Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a creative, self-motivated, high-judgment, well-connected, and experienced public relations professional to drive communications programs for AWS Solutions and foundational services (including our storage and compute portfolios). The right candidate possesses extensive media relations experience, excellent writing skills, a deep understanding of cloud and artificial intelligence technology, along with a track record of exercising high judgment while acting quickly. The Communications Manager for AWS Solutions and foundational services partners with service, business, and marketing teams within AWS and Amazon to develop compelling stories, thought-leadership strategies and campaigns, and innovative communications programs for Amazon Connect and other industry-leading solutions and applications as well as foundational data and analytics services that have made AWS the world's most comprehensive and widely-adopted cloud. The ideal candidate enjoys diving deep into technology and is motivated by a dynamic, highly creative culture where the challenge of breaking new ground and redefining best practices is welcome. The candidate must be comfortable working autonomously or in teams in high-profile, fast-paced environments and have a passion for spotlighting the rapid pace of innovation across AWS's emerging solutions/applications and the foundational services that are core to how customers innovate on AWS. Key job responsibilities Define and execute communications strategy and programs to drive awareness for AWS Solutions and foundational services Interact with senior leadership to influence strategy and negotiate decisions for application and solution announcements and messaging Work cross-functionally with Amazon and AWS teams to plan and execute communications campaigns Serve as a global liaison for international communications teams, supporting plans, launches, and campaigns Ensure accurate representation of AWS services in technology and business press Manage sensitive reputational issues with stakeholders and media Develop relationships with key influencers in technology trade and business press Handle complex, fast-moving communications challenges with high judgment Execute events and media engagements

The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
