Material Handler I

Manufacturing Support Role

Responsible for supporting receiving, shipping, inventory handling, and material movement activities within a manufacturing environment. The role involves operating forklifts, handling materials, performing inspections, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards in a fast-paced production setting.

Requirement/Must Have:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate forklift and obtain/maintain forklift license.
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and product documentation.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and inventory handling.

Experience:

• Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Unload trucks and receive incoming materials.
• Perform visual inspection of outplant products.
• Conduct cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Distribute materials to production departments.
• Maintain finished goods inventory.
• Perform shipping activities including packing and labeling parts.
• Verify heat codes, serial numbers, and shipping documentation accuracy.
• Maintain cardboard and packaging inventory.
• Perform marking operations using dot peen, vibropeen, and stencil machines.
• Support 5S workplace organization and cleanliness activities.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and hand trucks safely.
• Perform basic computer-based documentation and tracking tasks.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality procedures at all times.
• Support overtime requirements as needed.
