We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team at Holly Hill Nursing and Rehab Center in Towson, Maryland. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities that promote socialization, recreation, and overall well-being.

About the Role:

• Assist in the coordination and implementation of daily activities, programs, and events for residents

• Develop and lead group activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and entertainment programs

• Collaborate with the Activities Director to plan and execute special events and festivities

• Create and maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all residents

• Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation

Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead recreational activities, such as exercise classes, outdoor games, and creative arts programs

• Assist with the preparation and distribution of activity materials and supplies

• Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and respectful manner

• Communicate with residents, families, and staff to gather feedback and suggestions for activities

• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to team-building activities

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience working with seniors or in a similar role preferred

• Ability to work part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
