The production operator will contribute to the cylinder requalification, filling, and repair process and, with the a id of material handling equipment , assist in moving industrial gas cylinders to different areas of the plant and supporting the loading/unloading of cylinders from delivery trucks. As a representative of Airgas, the delivery driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers. Using a company-provided Tractor Trailer, microbulk truck and CDL B truck you will help bridge the gap between our plant and our valued customers. This position focuses on the loading, unloading , and delivery of cylinders while fostering positive interactions with Airgas customers. Airgas operates a modern and advanced fleet. Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver-supportive technology such as On-Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology, and GPS navigation.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety

• Work with a forklift to move materials

• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies

• Nurture courteous and professional relationships with customers

• Ensure deliveries are made in a timely manner

• Safely secure and unstrap cylinders for transport

• Make deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; we emphasize that this is a physically active role that keeps you moving throughout the day.

• Drivers will frequently exit their vehicle as part of their active routine

________________________Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 60 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements

• Must be able and willing to drive a manual transmission truck without an automatic restriction on license

• Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements

• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years

• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years

• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment

• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment

• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
