We are a growing manufacturing company seeking a driven, enthusiastic team player to join our operation. The ideal candidate has experience in material handling and understands the process flow of moving materials throughout a manufacturing shop floor. Prior experience with forklift operation, a strong quality focus, a self‐starter mindset, and a positive attitude are required.

Please note: we are a manufacturing environment, not a warehouse. To perform this role successfully, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently and remain self‐directed throughout much of the day, while effectively multitasking and performing all essential duties to a high standard.

Responsible for executing daily activities related to Receiving, Shipping, and critical material handling that support Production, as well as managing warehouse floor space and inventory.

Shipping

· Works closely with Production, Purchasing, and Sales Support to coordinate daily outgoing shipments.

· Prepares items for shipment by accurately verifying counts, weights, and measurements against, picking/packing slips bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.

· Packs items and finish goods securely using spacers, fillers, and protective padding to ensure safe transport.

· Affixes shipping labels to cartons and crates, or applies stenciled shipping information using appropriate equipment.

· Performs final verification of shipment completeness and provides required sign‐off.

· Secures wooden crates by installing screw covers and binds containers with plastic or metal bands using strapping tools; records weights and dimensions on all outgoing shipment documents.

· Operates forklifts, tier‐lift trucks, and hand trucks to move, stage, and load shipments from the shipping platform onto freight trucks.

· Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies to support uninterrupted daily operations.

· Keeps all shipping areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

· Performs daily forklift inspections prior to use and maintains accurate log sheets.

Receiving:

• Operates forklifts, tier trucks, or pallet jacks to unload inbound materials from the receiving platform.
• Unpacks and inspects incoming shipments; rejects damaged items, records damages and shortages, and notifies Purchasing to resolve discrepancies.
• Performs receipt entry into the ERP system with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Routes received items to the appropriate departments or places them into designated inventory locations.
• Works with Purchasing to organize receipt paperwork, including packing slips and receipt reports.
• Breaks down cardboard boxes and maintains all Receiving areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

Kitting for production:

• When necessary works with Production Planning to gather components and parts required for production Job Travelers and stages kitted materials in the designated assembly area.
• Collaborate with the purchasing agent to ensure purchase orders are placed promptly to address shortages and maintain adequate stock levels.

Inventory and cycle counts:

· Performs cycle counts on inventory items to maintain accuracy and ensure consistency between ERP system records and actual stock levels.

Warehouse continuous improvements:

· Assist in continuous improvement in warehouse or inventory organization based on Lean Manufacturing 5S concept to attain efficiency.

End of day lock up:

· Performs a walk through at the end of the day to ensure all gates, rollup doors and doors are shut and lock.

Qualification:

· Minimum Education: High School Diploma

· 2-3 years material handling/shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

· Must understand standard shipping process and types of packages.

· Experience in UPS, Fedex software and posting shipments in ERP system. Familiarity with International shipments is a plus.

· Must have current Forklift certification.

· Must be able to read, write and understand English fluently.

· Possess a firm grasp of how to operate heavy equipment used to move merchandise, as well as the strength and stamina needed to spend a lot of time on their feet and lifting packages.

· Follow proper lifting techniques for heavy objects

Qualifications

·         Warehouse experience: 2 years (Preferred)

Schedule:

· 8 hour shift: 7:30 am – 4:00pm

· Monday to Friday
