EVS Aide

Job Requirements

Position Summary: To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm Customer Experience and Stewardship by: providing exceptional support to the assigned department. Partners with the assigned department to achieve project goals as assigned.

Primary Accountabilities:

• Assists with maintaining a clean work area.
• Assists with area clerical duties such as typing, photocopying, filing, and faxing documents, reports, and other materials for electronic file transition.
• May place calls to other departments or outside organizations on behalf of department to assist with coordination of department activities if requested. May be responsible for mail pickup.
• Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of area files and filing system.
• Assists other clerical staff with clerical duties as time permits.
• Shows commitment to individual and departmental Continuous Quality Improvement and organizational operational effectiveness.
• Performs other duties as requested by area supervisor and area personnel.

• Education: Current High School Student enrolled in Summer Internship Program.
• Work Experience: None
• Licensure: None
• Certification: None

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Ability to read and write at high school level.
• Ability to use or operate computer, copy machine, etc.
• Ability to always maintain confidentiality and follow Health First's confidentiality guidelines.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work and maintain composure in a stressful environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks during a workday.

Physical Requirements:

• Majority of time involves sitting or standing, occasional walking, bending, and stooping.
• Long periods of computer time or at workstation.
• Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
• May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and/or low to moderate noise.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
• Workspace may vary from open to confined.
• May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter may require use of personal vehicle.
