Software Asset Management Analyst

mroads is looking for an "Software Asset Management Analyst" for one of the clients in Memphis, TN. Although this is a remote role, we need someone to be in the Memphis, TN, office during audits.
Requirements:
- Manage the full software asset lifecycle from request to retirement
- Maintain accurate software inventory and license records
- Ensure compliance with software licenses and vendor agreements
- Conduct internal audits and support external vendor audits
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through license optimization
- Track software usage and analyze trends for better utilization
- Support contract renewals and vendor negotiations
- Collaborate with IT teams for software deployment and removal
- Generate reports on compliance, risk, and software spend
- Use SAM/ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera) and apply strong analytical skills
