Registered Nurse Cath Lab

The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab is responsible for providing specialized nursing care in an acute care hospital setting, focusing on cardiac catheterization procedures. The role requires at least two years of experience in a lab environment (IR RN or Cath Lab RN) and involves patient assessments, sedation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Strong proficiency in Epic charting and certification in ACLS, BLS, and relevant cardiac credentials are essential. The nurse will participate in weekend on-call rotations and work within a 50-mile radius of the facility. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care during cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures.
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and sedation as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Utilize Epic electronic medical records for accurate and timely documentation.
• Participate in weekend on-call rotations and respond promptly to call assignments.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies in the Cath Lab.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an IR RN or Cath Lab RN in a hospital lab setting.
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Certification as CCI RCES or CCI RCIS.
• NIHSS certification.
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system (required for IR RN; highly preferred for Cath Lab RN).
• Strong sedation skills.

• Experience working in a 250+ bed facility.
• Previous experience with weekend call rotations.
• Additional certifications related to cardiac or interventional nursing.

• Weekend call required: approximately 7 days per month, including one weekend per month (Friday-Sunday PM) plus one additional weekday.
• Work radius limited to 50 miles from facility.
• Must have sedation skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Start date is ASAP.
• Pending licenses are not accepted.
• Return to office (RTO) restrictions must be included at submission time.

• Shifts are Monday through Friday with weekend call responsibilities.
• Shift assignments may vary and include day or evening hours as needed.
• Guaranteed hours consistent with hospital policies.
