Responsibilities The Department Supervisor (Warehouse) is responsible for maintaining a safe department at all times, leading by example, and ensuring all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn during all duties. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material‑handling equipment to support daily operations. Perform hands‑on tasks including loading/unloading materials, organizing inventory, and verifying shipment accuracy. Oversee and assist with daily inventory management activities including cycle counts, stock rotation, and reconciliation of discrepancies. Monitor warehouse workflow, ensuring optimal layout and efficient movement of materials to support production needs. Immediately report all accidents and near‑miss incidents to the Manager and/or EHS personnel and participate in investigative and prevention activities. Collaborate with Human Resources and Environmental, Health & Safety departments to train newly hired employees and provide ongoing (monthly) safety training per EHS. Follow an operational schedule, reviewing and adjusting schedules as needed. Complete all required operational reporting and administrative time‑keeping duties. Oversee and direct daily operations of the team to meet output goals, stepping in to support team tasks when needed and assigning work orders appropriately. Ensure quality through routine checks and strict process adherence, monitor inventory levels, and request parts and supplies as necessary. Provide leadership and guidance to ensure work performed meets customer and/or service order requirements. Monitors and evaluates staff performance, providing coaching and feedback as necessary; clearly communicate goals, expectations, and timely feedback to staff. Interact with customers as needed to provide status updates, obtain additional information, and ensure overall satisfaction. Provide daily status updates to management on progress of work orders and work with appropriate team members to resolve issues or request support as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager. Education and Work Experience Requirements High school diploma or a 2‑year technical degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse/production environment. Hands‑on experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment required. Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and Teams. Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands, and able to handle frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner. Strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, and a safety‑first mindset. Prior experience with 5S and lean manufacturing principles. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast‑paced warehouse/manufacturing environment. Physical and Work Environment Requirements Ability to sit, stand, talk, hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Ability to work standing or in a crouched position for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to operate material‑handling equipment and work in various warehouse conditions including varying temperatures and noise levels.
