Growing together.You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.ResponsibilitiesAssigns accurate diagnostic and procedure codes according to clinical documentation and official coding guidelines for outpatient hospital professional accountsAssigns CPT and ICD-10 codes to all Cardiology and Electro Physiology servicesMonitors assigned work queues to ensure all records are charged/coded in a timely mannerGenerates coding queries for clarification regarding physician documentation as neededStays abreast of all changes in coding conventions and coding updatesAbility to manage significant workload, and to work efficiently under pressure meeting established deadlines with minimal supervisionYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GEDProfessional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC (CPC-A, RHIT, RHIA, CCA, CPC, COC, CPC-P, CCS) to be maintained annually5+ years of experience with cardiology coding with ICD-10 and CPT codingIntermediate experience with PCs in a Windows environment, including MS Excel and EMR systemsPreferred Qualifications:2+ years of post-certification medical coding experience1+ years of Outpatient Physician coding (Pro-Fee) experienceExperience with various encoder systems (Encoder Pro, EPIC)*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
