Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles. Build and install hangers to hold material in place. Work at heights from ladders, lifts, or roofs. Assist with installing plumbing fixtures. Use a variety of power and hand tools. Complete online classes and at-home study with skills and textbook learning. Qualifications High-school diploma or GED required. Experience with hand tools and a tape measure is a plus. Must be drug-free workplace compliant, punctual, reliable, and able to work in teams. Perform basic tape-measure math. Work in extremes of heat, cold, bad weather, indoors and outdoors. Stand and walk throughout the workday; lift/carry up to 60 lbs. Work efficiently in confined spaces and reach above shoulders, crawl, squat, kneel, bend. Exercise fine motor control with good vision and hand-eye coordination.
