Sprinkler Fitter

THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to provide installation services of all forms of fire sprinkler systems and components. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of NFPA-based fire sprinkler systems. The ability to problem‑solve and communicate effectively with the Designer, Project Manager, and General Contractor is an integral part of this position. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Read and interpret blueprints to install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping. Work under tight deadlines on installation of new, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects. Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications using tools such as saws and pipe threaders. Work and coordinate with various contractors and trades to resolve coordination conflicts in the field. Manage job scheduling and progress efficiently and cost‑effectively, with a strong focus on quality. Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other field installers and helpers. Maintain knowledge of the fire industry and OSHA safety standards. WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU Two to five years of experience in field installation of fire sprinkler systems. Working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre‑action systems, as well as backflows and fire pumps. Experience with installation of underground piping preferred but not required. Proficient in NFPA 13, 20 and 24 code requirements. Ability to read fire system design drawings. Ability to use trade‑appropriate tools to perform daily pipe fitting duties efficiently and safely. Ability to train others to use trade‑appropriate tools efficiently and safely. Excellent organizational, decision‑making, and communication skills. NICET level II certification.
