We are seeking a skilled and creative Cake Decorator to join our bakery team at Price Chopper. As part of the Balls Food Stores family, we offer the stability of a locally owned company with deep community roots.This is a great fit for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, enjoys working in a hands-on environment, and has a passion for turning everyday desserts into something special for our guests.Key Responsibilities & Job DutiesDecorate cakes, cupcakes, and other bakery items according to guest requests and company standardsCreate custom designs using icing, fondant, and other decorative elementsEnsure all products meet quality, freshness, and visual presentation standardsProvide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all timesConsult with guests to understand design needs, themes, and special requestsMaintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and decorating areaFollow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standardsManage time effectively to meet production schedules and order deadlinesAssist with baking, filling, and preparing products as neededMonitor inventory levels of decorating supplies and communicate needs to leadershipStay informed on bakery promotions and seasonal offerings to support salesWork collaboratively with bakery team members and store leadershipSupport additional bakery or store operations as neededRemain productive during slower periods by preparing materials, practicing designs, or supporting team tasksOther job duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsRequired: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experienceRequired: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysRequired: Previous cake decorating or bakery experience
