Direct Support Professional

Synergy Home Health Services, LLC is an Agency Provider for Ohio Dept. of Developmental Disabilities. Working as Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they explore their greater community, identify strengths, promoting independence and self-advocacy, and build long-lasting social networks.

Available Shifts in Circleville are 2nd Shift and Weekends

DSP's create lasting positive impacts on people's lives and enjoy learning, as well as, mentoring, and encouraging others to celebrate their achieved outcomes. Must be able to work independently, be reliable and have a positive attitude.

As a DSP you will:

• Discover engaging community events and plan activities.

• Participate with individuals in the community.

• Supporting and upholding the rights, dignity and respect of all persons served as well as promoting independence and self-advocacy skills.

• Complete required documentation and attend required trainings and meetings.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older

• High School Diploma or GED

• One-year experience in related field is preferred, but not required

• Ability to communicate, both verbal and written

• Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Demonstrate the ability to work independently

• Have a valid State Driver's License or valid State ID

• If applicable, valid auto insurance and the ability to safely transport individuals.

• Pass BCII/FBI background check, and 7 additional checks.

• Possess or complete and maintain American Red Cross and CPR certifications.
