Job Title: Assembler Job Description
This role prepares and operates braiding machines to produce metallic and non-metallic expandable braiding configurations, including basic tubular braid and specialty configurations for complex cables or convoluted conduit assemblies. The assembler ensures products meet quality standards by following technical documentation and using precision tools in a clean manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare braiding machines for production by setting up materials, tools, and equipment according to job specifications.
Operate braiding machines to manufacture metallic and non-metallic expandable braiding configurations, including basic tubular braid and specialty designs for complex cables and convoluted conduit assemblies.
Read and interpret blueprints, documents, and manuals to ensure accurate setup and production.
Use hand tools and precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Perform visual inspections throughout the production process to confirm product quality and detect defects or inconsistencies.
Follow established manufacturing procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency.
Identify and troubleshoot basic production issues using analytical and problem-solving skills.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and support a safe manufacturing environment.
Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding production status, issues, and process improvements.
Essential Skills
Experience in assembly or manufacturing environments.
Proficiency using hand tools in a production setting.
Ability to use precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.
Ability to perform accurate visual inspections of parts and assemblies.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production issues.
Strong attention to detail to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documents, and manuals.
Knowledge of basic math and computer skills for measurements, documentation, and machine operation.
Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for working with team members and documenting work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience operating manufacturing or braiding equipment.
Familiarity with complex cable or conduit assemblies.
Comfort working on your feet for most of the shift in a production environment.

Work Environment
This position is based in a clean manufacturing environment where most of the work is performed on your feet. The role follows a 2nd shift schedule of 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with additional hours from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM as needed. You will work with braiding machines, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers, while performing regular visual inspections. The environment emphasizes adherence to safety rules, quality standards, and organized workflows.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glendale, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
