Vascular Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Location: South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shifts consist of 4x10-hour (07:30 - 18:00) or 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:00) rotations, with potential weekend and on-call requirements.

Job Description: The Vascular Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse is responsible for providing critical care in a fast-paced environment, specializing in vascular interventional procedures for adult and pediatric patients. The role includes monitoring patients undergoing procedures, administering moderate sedation, and ensuring a high level of patient care and safety during interventional procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Vascular Interventional Radiology department.
• Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Administer moderate sedation as required.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Attend to patients' needs and respond to emergencies as they arise.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in ER, trauma, ICU, or critical care environments.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Active South Carolina or Compact State Nursing License.
• Experience in pediatric/adult vascular IR preferred.
• Comfortable working with radiation and adhering to safety protocols.
