Job Responsibilities
- Craft Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' requirements and formulate personalized therapy strategies to help them meet their functional aspirations.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-informed interventions to bolster patients' motor skills, cognitive functions, and daily living tasks.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work alongside OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive, integrated care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance and resources to patients and their families on therapy practices for continued progress at home.
- Document and Monitor Progress: Track patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Ongoing education or additional certifications encouraged and supported
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) credential required
- A genuine passion for assisting others in achieving their utmost level of independence
- Effective and empathetic communication skills with both patients and colleagues
