BioPhase is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to support enterprise-wide data governance, quality, and compliance initiatives for a biotechnology company in San Diego. This role will partner cross-functionally with IT, operations, and business teams to help maintain accurate, secure, and accessible enterprise data. Strong preference for candidates who are comfortable working onsite in San Diego.
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain enterprise data governance standards, policies, and processes
- Help oversee data quality, metadata management, and data lifecycle activities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve data consistency and accessibility
- Assist with data lineage, stewardship, compliance, and reporting initiatives
- Support AI and large language model governance and documentation activities
- Help identify and escalate data quality or compliance issues as needed
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or related fields
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, and cloud or enterprise data environments preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field preferred
