Processing Technician

Southside Processing is currently looking for a full time Processing Technician.This position is eligible for full time benefits that will include health, dental, vision and vacation and sick leave.Primary Functions:Raw Material PreparationHang sausage to be smoked for orders.Package fresh product for orders.Sanitation of all equipment and areas used in job positionPrimary Responsibilities and Activities:Fresh Product PackagingCut tripe on band saw to specs. and place into plastic tubRemove bull meat from boxes and place into plastic tubRemove bagged plates, place into tub and add cold water for thawingHanging sausage for smokingSet-up carts and sticks (35 per cart) for hanging according to scheduleHang smoked product on individual sticks and place one space apart with 19 loops per stick.Roll finished carts into fresh cooler.Fresh product packagingSet-up area with necessary tools: boxes, bags, labels, stamp and tagsPackage fresh sausage according to individual customer specs.Weigh each box to customer orders: zero underweight and max .10 overStack boxes to be picked for orders.4) Wash, scrub and sanitize all equipment and areas used for daily processing.Skills and Experienced Required:Willingness to work and capacity to learn.Prior plant or warehouse experience preferred.Experience working in a USDA facility preferred.Bilingual preferred.Qualifications:Related work experience.Strong skills in working with people.Cooperative, strong work ethic, positive attitude, professional demeanor.Ability to discern problems and devise solutions.Present a professional bearing and appearance.Physical Demands:Ability to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.Ability to work in hot and/or cold temperatures.Full Time BenefitsTuition Reimbursement Program- up to 100% paid college tuition25% Employee Discount on Restaurant food purchases, 10% Discount on Market and Merchandise itemsFree Shift Meal each shift worked401K - Southside Market & Barbeque will match the team member contributions 100% (dollar-for-dollar) on your Salary Deferrals up to 3% of compensation; plus, a 50% matching contribution on any additional Salary Deferrals above 3% up to 5% of compensation.Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Referral Bonus ProgramFocused Leadership Development ProgramMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short- term and Long- term Disability1 week Vacation pay/year - accrual starts on day 11 week Sick pay/year - accrual starts on day 1ALL COMPANY HOLIDAY Closures Paid - Thanksgiving, Christmas, and EasterFull time set Schedules #J-18808-Ljbffr Southside Market & BBQ
